The Aqara Hub M3 redefines smart home. It offers versatile connectivity options such as dual-band Wi-Fi and PoE and includes a 360° IR blaster that connects your Air Conditioner to Matter. As a multiprotocol hub, it integrates seamlessly with Aqara and, for the first time, third-party Matter devices, ensuring both privacy and effortless setup.
Offering both wired and wireless solutions, the M3 provides dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4-5GHz) with advanced WPA3 security, and a Power over Ethernet (PoE) port. The addition of a USB-C port allows for mini-UPS and power bank connections, delivering unparalleled stability.
The M3 acts as a versatile hub, supporting Aqara Zigbee and Thread devices*, while also integrating third-party devices into the Aqara Home app. As a Matter bridge**, it ensures smooth communication between Aqara devices and other Matter-compatible platforms. With support for up to 127 Thread/Zigbee devices, the M3 offers unmatched connectivity for effortless control of your smart home products.

It is designed to facilitate interoperability between different smart home ecosystems. Specifically, it enables communication between Aqara Zigbee devices and Matter and HomeKit apps, ultimately providing greater flexibility and control over your connected devices.

Thanks to the Matter Controller functionality, the M3 can integrate third-party Matter devices into the Aqara Home app, which will unlock the simple-yet-powerful Aqara Home automations to thousands of Matter devices.
* Due to limited resources, not all the supported devices were officially tested, and as third-party support is still a "Lab" feature, interoperability issues may arise. ** To add the device to Aqara Home app, please ensure that the Matter device has entered the pairing mode, proceed to "Home" tab >> "+" >> "Scan code" icon and scan or (optionally) enter the pairing code manually.
An IR controller with feedback and learning capabilities offers an intuitive solution for controlling a wide range of IR-compatible devices. Now, it has the ability for status detection and integrating ACs into the Matter system.
* Please note: the infrared frequency is 38kHz ** Only one device of the AC type can be exposed to Matter, and the functionality may vary depending on the particular app
Once integrated into the network, it assumes leadership over existing Aqara hubs, centralizing data processing and commanding other hubs for distributed computing.
Automations previously executed in the cloud between hubs will transition to local Edge automations, ensuring they remain operational even during internet outages.
In the event of a Hub M3 failure, certain routers or mesh repeaters are capable of executing simple automations*. For example, the automation of Curtain Driver and Door and Window Sensor remains operational in case the M3 fails, providing a seamless automation experience.
The M3 allows for straightforward migration from older Aqara hubs, enabling seamless network upgrades without manual device reconnections.
The M3 offers dual-band Wi-Fi with WPA3 security, PoE support, and a USB-C allows for UPS/power bank connections, ensuring robust and versatile connectivity.
The M3 does not include any microphones or cameras, and features an end-to-end encrypted local storage* for device lists, configuration parameters and automation data.
The hub's 95dB speaker functions as an Aqara Home Alert siren or for announcements, allowing custom ringtones to be integrated into automations, even without an internet connection.
The M3 comes with a mount, screws, and sticker for easy placement on flat surfaces, walls, or ceilings. Once powered, MagicPair enables automatic Aqara Home app detection.
The Aqara Hub M3 is equipped with a built-in speaker that can be used in a variety of ways.
