Required an Aqara Hub?
No, the Aqara smart lock operates offline without the need for a hub. By using a direct Bluetooth connection between your phone (Aqara Home App) and the lock, you can set up and manage the lock through the app, including adding users, NFC cards, fingerprints, generating one-time passcodes, and deleting users
However, adding an Aqara Hub allows you to enjoy additional features such as Remote unlock, Remote status check, Creating automations (e.g., unlock the door lock and turn on a light if it is dark), Periodic passcode issuance, Receiving notifications, and Integrating with Google Home and Google Assistant for voice control.

Moreover, sensitive data such as fingerprints are stored locally, ensuring that they cannot be accessed by unauthorized individuals and providing an additional layer of security.

The U100 features a built-in gyroscope for lock status detection, and it doesn't require installing any additional sensors to realize the Auto Locking and Door not Locked functionality* Besides, considerate Do Not Disturb and Passage Modes are supported for family and office use cases.

Don't panic. The U100 provides you with additional ways to access your door during emergency situations. In addition to low battery alarm, you can use physical keys or the USB-C emergency port at the outer panel, ensuring that you always have a backup plan to enter your home.

Thanks to the energy-efficient Zigbee protocol, the U100 has a long battery life that lasts up to 8 months* and its AA batteries can be easily replaced.

The Aqara U100 is seamlessly integrated with the Aqara Video Doorbell G4: when someone presses the doorbell, you will be able to view who is at your porch and easily unlock the Aqara U100 in case it is needed.
