The Aqara Smart Lock A100 is a smart door lock that can be unlocked via fingerprint, password, temporary password, NFC card, emergency key, etc. It supports features like low-battery reminder, lock picking warning and multiple verification failure alarming. Meanwhile, with the Aqara Home app, the lock can be configured and work with other Aqara smart devices to fulfill the multiple functions in smart home applications like remote unlock, automation control and push notifications.
Required an Aqara Hub?
No, the Aqara smart lock operates offline without the need for a hub. By using a direct Bluetooth connection between your phone (Aqara Home App) and the lock, you can set up and manage the lock through the app, including adding users, NFC cards, fingerprints, generating one-time passcodes, and deleting users
However, adding an Aqara Hub allows you to enjoy additional features such as Remote unlock, Remote status check, Creating automations (e.g., unlock the door lock and turn on a light if it is dark), Periodic passcode issuance, Receiving notifications, and Integrating with Google Home and Google Assistant for voice control.
